Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineer
Support Product Development for new electro-mechanical products such as crank/cam, speed and EGR position sensors, throttle bodies, and various other actuators
Establish conceptual manufacturing process layouts with equipment/tooling requirements
Work with Design Engineer and Tool Designers to reduce tooling, equipment and product costs
Establish critical path timing plans from project approval to release to production
Sourcing/selecting vendors for tooling and equipment
Debug equipment prior to pilot production
Determine necessary gages, equipment and procedures for inspection/test of components, subassemblies and final assemblies
Establish tooling/equipment specifications
Set up and training staff in operation of production equipment at remote locations.Resolving assembly problems
